Move a deal and mark the outcome

The stages move themselves as you call and book. Close a deal as Sold or Not interested, and record what happened at a tour.

The pipeline has six stages: New, Contacted, Tour booked, Toured, Sold and Not interested. Most moves happen on their own:

  • Logging a call, a text or a visit moves New to Contacted.
  • Booking a tour moves the deal to Tour booked.
  • Arrived on the tour moves it to Toured.

Move a deal by hand

  • On the board: drag the card to another stage. The toast confirms it and offers Undo. On a phone, open the stage menu at the top to switch stages. A card dragged to Sold or Not interested closes without a reason. Use Move to… on the deal when the reason matters for your reports.
  • On the lead: open Move to… beside the stages at the top of the record, and pick a stage.

Sold… and Not interested… in Move to… ask for what a close needs, below.

Mark the outcome

After a tour, the deal's Next card asks What happened at the tour?.

  1. Press Outcome (or Record the outcome).
  2. Pick what happened:
  • Sold: they're joining. The enrolment happens on your own system, and nothing is created in Monody. Where your business profile names that system, it reads, for example, Enrolled on MyStudio.
  • Trial: they're trying it first. You pick the day the trial ends, and Monody asks how it went on the morning it ends. See Trials and when they end.
  • Thinking about it: a follow-up call is filed for 10:00 AM two days from now.
  • No-show: a rebook call is filed for 10:00 AM tomorrow, and the missed-tour automation runs.
  • Not interested: closes the deal and stops its callbacks.
  1. For Not interested, answer Why not?: Price, Timing, Location and the other reasons your business uses. Timing asks When should we check in?, from 2 to 12 weeks. Other needs a note in their words.
  2. Press Save.

The outcome stays on that visit. Booking the deal's next visit adds a new one and never changes an earlier outcome, so the deal's Activity keeps every visit and what came of it.

Where setters book tours for closers, the closer's sheet reads differently: Sold, Trial, or Back to the setter who booked it, with what they said and what the setter should book next. See The closer.

To close a deal that never toured, use Sold… or Not interested… in Move to… instead. A Sold is saved at once, with Undo in the toast.

What you'll see

  • The deal in its new column, and the change in its Activity.
  • What happened this period counts a Sold or a Not interested on the day the deal closed. See Read Insights.
