Your first campaigns

What to expect in the first three weeks: a new sending address starts at 500 emails a day and sends more each day, on its own.

Campaigns go out by email from your business's sending address. An address that has never sent before is asked to carry a little mail at first and more each day, because a new address that suddenly sends to a large list is likely to land in spam. Monody does this for you: a campaign larger than the day's allowance goes out over several days, and nobody has to press anything.

The first three weeks

The days are your business's own calendar days, counted from the first day your address sends a campaign.

The allowance counts every campaign your business sends that day, together. A campaign to 12,000 people sent on day 1 finishes on day 8.

What you'll see on the campaign

  • Before it sends, when the audience is larger than today's allowance: "Your sending address is new, so it sends up to 500 emails a day to start and more each day."
  • While it sends: Your sending address is warming up, with how many went out today.
  • When today's allowance is used: Paused until tomorrow. The rest go out after midnight, on their own.

Nothing is shown once the campaign fits in the day, or once the warm-up is over.

Who goes first

While the address is warming up, people who opened one of your emails from Monody in the last 90 days are sent to first. On your first campaign nobody has, so the order is unchanged.

An address that already sends

If your campaigns go out from your own domain and it already sends regular email, write to support@monody.app. Our team can mark it as already warmed, and the daily limit no longer applies.

Before the first send

  • Name your email topics, so people can turn off one kind of email and keep the rest. See Email topics and Manage what you get.
  • Read the reach on the Audience step. It says how many people the campaign reaches and why the rest are left out: no marketing consent, unsubscribed or bounced, or the topic turned off.
  • Campaigns send at up to 1,000 emails a minute once the warm-up is over.
