Trials and when they end

Record a trial with the day it ends. On that morning, the deal's owner is asked to find out how it went.

A trial is an outcome of a tour: the person is trying it before they decide. Monody keeps the day it ends on the deal, and asks how it went when that day comes. Your business's own word for a trial, such as "free week", replaces "Trial" throughout.

Record a trial

  1. After the tour, press Outcome and pick Trial.
  2. Under When does the trial end?, check the date. It starts a week from today, or at the trial length your business uses.
  3. Press Save. The toast names the day the trial ends.

Where setters book tours for closers, the closer picks Trial on their own sheet, with the same date question.

On the deal

  • Details shows Trial ends with the date and how many days are left, then "ends today", then how long ago it ended. Press it to change the date, or clear it.
  • The Next card reads Trial ends and the date, with "We'll ask how it went on the morning it ends."
  • The deal stays in Toured while the trial runs. On a business with Operate, it moves to Trial.

When it ends

On the morning of the end day, shortly after 9:00 AM on the location's clock:

  • A follow-up to ask how the trial went is put on the list of the deal's owner, due now. Without an owner it goes to the person who recorded the trial, then to the person who booked the tour. Failing all three, it is left unassigned and the administrators are told.
  • The same person gets a notice: "Trial ended".
  • The Next card reads Trial ended · ask how it went, with Call and Log a call.

The deal is never closed or moved by the end of a trial. Close it yourself as Sold or Not interested once you know.
